Resolution to Commissioning an Impact Fee Study

Resolution #2024-25-01.1 of the Board of Directors of the Golden Gate Fire Protection District

Whereas, the Golden Gate Fire Protection District of Jefferson County, State of Colorado (hereinafter referred to as the "District"), is a duly organized and existing quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of the State of Colorado, existing and operating under and by virtue of the Constitution and laws of the State of Colorado, including but not limited to Parts 1 through 16 of Article 1 of Title 32, C.R.S., as amended (the "Special District Act"); and

Whereas, the Board of Directors of the District, on August 17, 2024, moved and approved the commissioning of an Impact Fee Study that would be written by a resident volunteer, with third-party and independent oversight to be conducted by BBC Research and Consulting; and

Whereas, the Board of Directors of the District has determined to adopt the Golden Gate Fire Protection District Impact Fee Study completed on January 17, 2024; and

Whereas, the Board of Directors of the District has determined that additional processes and procedures are required to implement Impact Fees and that Impact Fees will be assessed starting no earlier than July 1, 2024 following the guides documented in the Golden Gate Fire Protection District Impact Fee Study completed on January 17, 2024.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Directors of the Golden Gate Fire Protection District of Jefferson County, Colorado:

That the Board of Directors of the Golden Gate Fire Protection District has adopted the Golden Gate Fire Protection District Impact Fee Study completed on January 17, 2024 to be implemented no earlier than July 1, 2024.
