Golden Gate Fire Protection District (GGFPD) is comprised of mostly volunteer Firefighters. Our Firefighters and Medical Personnel protect lives and property through their involvement in firefighting, emergency medical care, fire prevention, disaster response, community service and public education.

GGFPD has 3 fire stations that are strategically located throughout the district. Each station is equipped with various apparatus.

We offer three volunteer programs: In-district for members that live within the district boundaries, Station shift program for members that live outside the district boundaries yet still within a certain area and a resident Firefighter program where Firefighters live at one of the stations.

Our next formal recruitment period is planned for October 2025. To indicate interest or for additional questions, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form. Lateral opportunities may be available before October 2025 and you can email the Chief directly with questions.
