Golden Gate Fire Protection District (GGFPD) is comprised of mostly volunteer Firefighters. Our Firefighters and Medical Personnel protect lives and property through their involvement in firefighting, emergency medical care, fire prevention, disaster response, community service and public education.

GGFPD has 3 fire stations that are strategically located throughout the district. Each station is equipped with various apparatus.

We offer three volunteer programs: In-district for members that live within the district boundaries, Station shift program for members that live outside the district boundaries yet still within a certain area and a resident Firefighter program where Firefighters live at one of the stations.

Recruitment Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering.  Our recruitment for the Operations Division is closed until 2026.  However, the Wildland Fire Mitigation Division and the Support Division are ongoing, and opportunities may be available.  To indicate interest, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form.
